Описание к видео Iconic New York Stoneware Jug with Wonderful Incised Figural Design

Mark displays a legendary example of American stoneware, once owned by famous New York City folk art collector, Barry Cohen. Bearing the incised design of a man looking backwards between his legs, the jug has a long exhibition and publication history, which includes its display at Williamsburg's Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum in 1975, as well as its appearance in Sumpter Priddy's 2004 American Fancy and USA Today in 1990. Attributable to William Capron's Albany, NY pottery (circa 1800-1805), it will sold as part of our Spring 2021 auction of American stoneware & redware pottery. http://www.crockerfarm.com
