Mordhau Mace Gameplay - Build, Killstreaks and Chill Commentary (via Twitch)

Today's Mordhau gameplay video features my Mace build with the Bloodlust perk. It's the same Mace build I've had...just a new helmet!

The Mace is one of the weapons in the game that I want to get better with. I overestimate its range constantly, and the best way to fix that is by practicing with it. The Mace has a 60cm reach, the same as the Axe and Warhammer. The alt grip for the Mace is you throwing the weapon, and since the Mace is a one-handed weapon, you can utilize it with a shield.

What makes the Mace so deadly is that it can two-shot everything but level 2 and 3 leg armor. The Mace can also one-shot level 0 and 1 head armor. That deadly damage comes fast, too. The Mace's windup and release times are on par with the Heavy Handaxe. The downside (apart from the short reach) is that the Mace's combo speed is slow. The Mace and the Maul have the same combo speed (825). Compared to the Axe (combo speed of 525) you'll want to take advantage of brutal, single swings as much as you can.
