Starting with an inside look at the production of our Woolrich® Edition pop-up truck camper, our latest video explains how this model came to be. The concept had been around for years—a collaboration between two American heritage outdoor companies—Four Wheel Campers in California and Woolrich, Inc. in Pennsylvania. For those looking for the most exciting truck camper adventure, the Woolrich® Edition is compact, durable and lightweight, as well as flexible, so the camper moves with the truck in off-road conditions.

Four Wheel Campers began building campers in 1972. Its newest model retains the iconic shape, which has maintained its distinction and integrity for years, as Tom Hanagan at the Four Wheel Campers factory explains.

Fabrics for this flatbed truck camper were supplied by Woolrich, a company with the distinction of being the oldest manufacturer of outdoor apparel in the US. Their meticulous process is explained in the video by company representative Nick Brayton. The merchandising and design teams of both companies worked together to create a timeless, iconic product, which includes a specially designed wool blanket that fits the size of the bed in the truck bed camper.

The Woolrich® Edition camper also features a smooth aluminum exterior. Interior options include a front dinette or flatbed-style camper. Both are fully appointed with a compressor-style fridge, glass top appliances, lighting, and 160-watt solar panel and solar controller. This means you get what’s normally available as options as standard features in an exclusive special edition product.
