So without a doubt, the SR 7012 would be on my short list for AVR's, especially at current pricing. The IMAX Enhanced DTS is a "missing feature", so that is something to consider, but otherwise this AVR is certainly "full featured". I'll be sad to see it go...

You can stick with on board amplification, or you can go with external amplification, and run up to 11 channels. Given it's current pricing, it gives you room to grow at nearly half the normal price.

On a side note, I was listening to Spotify, not Tidal, when I played over the cellular network, turning on the Marantz at home while my wife was in another room.

So long as Spotify is connected to the Marantz, it doesn't matter what network your phone is on, so long as you have internet. I suspect my viewers will ONLY use this information for good...

I recommend Denon and Marantz for a few reasons, which I covered in the video, like XT32 and the quality bass.

I would recommend the X3300 at a minimum, because it has XT32, as well as the ability to run external amps if desired. It's a big step up over the X2300, X2400, or X2500.

Getting the better room correction, and the option to run external amps, it's WELL worth the small price difference.

I started out with the Denon X2000, and had I known this at the time, I would have gotten the X3000 instead. I have a lot of respect for my X2000, it was the workhorse that started this channel, but Audyssey XT32 is just better.
