The Philippine Navy is reportedly evaluating South Korea’s Compact Korean Vertical Launching System (K-VLS) and the K-SAAM short-range surface-to-air missile as potential upgrades for the Rajah Sulayman-class Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs). With a 4-cell VLS space available, the Compact K-VLS variant is said to be a perfect fit for the OPV class.
