Alton Towers SW8 - New Rollercoaster for 2018

This is my recreation of the Wooden Rollercoaster to be built at the Alton Towers Resort for the 2018 season. This has been made using my own custom 3D models and the No Limits 2 simulator. All features in the recreation have been accurately copied from the plans submitted by the Alton Towers resort visible here http://tinyurl.com/hgxsqjp.

The plans are for a Wooden Rollercoaster buit by Great Coasters International, to be built on the site of the Flume ride (now closed). It is not clear whether the ride will be form part of an extended Mutiny Bay or Katanga Canyon area of the park. These are family areas of the park, and so I expect SW8 will reflect this demography to be a family friendly coaster (like Th13teen).

There will be additional theming elements for the ride, but the designs for these have not been submitted. Construction of SW8 is expected to start towards the end of 2016.
