Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump holds a campaign rally in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Trump has told Jewish Americans that Israel would be “eradicated” under a Kamala Harris presidency and that they would be partly to blame if they do not vote for him.

Speaking at successive Jewish events in Washington, Trump called the US presidential vote the most important election in Israel’s history as he accused his Democratic rival of “presiding over an explosion of antisemitism” in America.

“If we don’t win this election, Israel … within a period of two to three years, will cease to exist. It’s going to be wiped out,” Trump said. He added that Jewish voters would bear a share of the responsibility because a vote against him was a vote for “the enemy”.
