Sea Kayaking & Camping in Taean, South Korea

Manripo is a beach where has a sea kayaking center closest to Seoul, and it takes about 2 hours to get to Manripo beach from Seoul by car. Manripo is famous for its beautiful white long beach so it is being loved for weekend beach time by Seoul citizens, and also it is being loved by kayakers and backpackers because of beach to beach sea kayaking adventure and Taean Beach Trail for weekend trips.

Beach to Beach Sea Kayaking
We will have sea kayaking orientation to talk about safety, risk management, basic paddling skills, and sea kayaks. The type of sea kayaks you will use is sit-on hard shell kayaks. Sit-on hard shell kayaks are really stable, so you don’t worry about falling off kayaks situation.

We’d like you to discover Korean rock formations while paddling to another Baekripo Beach. Once we arrive at Baekripo Beach, we will have lunch there and come back to Manripo Beach.

Camping at Cheongsol Camping Site
After sea kayaking, we will move to Cheongsol Camping site for camping. Cheongsol Camping Site is surrounded thick Korean Pine trees, and also it is famous for clam digging beach. The clam digging beach is right in front of the camping site so you can go digging clam while we are setting tents.

If you want to bring your instruments for camping night, you are totally welcome to be romantic people. The tents we provide is big enough for 4 people but two people will use one tent for convenience.

Trekking on Taean Beach Trail
Taean National Forest Service built this gorgeous 8 beach trails in Taean city along West Sea of South Korea, and each trail is about 12km. It is well built in Korean style and we will have relaxing trekking along a beach trail as sight seeing.

It takes maximum 4 hours to walk one beach trail, and we will have lunch on the way.
