The New Commissioner Gordon is Powerless | Batman Caped Crusader

Continuing my coverage of the new Batman cartoon, Batman Caped Crusader, I want to talk about this new version of Commissioner James Gordon. In this series we first meet him as the head of the Police Department, not some lowly detective.

However, just because he has reached the top position in the Department that doesn't actually mean that he has any real power. Gordon's inability to achieve his goals in the face of the city's corruption perfectly explains why he would go on to support Batman.
