When it comes to smart home security, Ring and Nest are the biggest brands, namely due to their parent companies, Amazon and Google respectively. But their video doorbells the #RingVideoDoorbell2, the #RingVideoDoorbellPro or the #NestHello are pretty different, especially in terms of video and artificial intelligence capabilities.

Only the Nest Hello has person detection, plus facial recognition if you pay extra for Nest Aware. It also has 1600 HD video display compared to the 1080p HD display of the Ring video doorbells.
