A day of monsoon madness. We had planned a pre monsoon bike ride. After a lot of thinking of, where is the best place to visit before the monsoon. It should nearby, affordable and comfortable place too. We finally decided to have a pre monsoon bike ride to Barvi dam.
We were three friends who decided to go out this specific ride. Jim and his friend Ninad planned to join on me this ride. Finally the day had come.
The day started with a lot of rain. We were sceptical to do the ride. As Jim and Ninad were coming in from Borivali to meet up at the Airoli shell petrol pump. As the rains were just pouring down.
But they reached the Airoli McDonald outlet as they wanted to a food break and get little refreshed. I was a little late as I didn't refill petrol to go on the ride. Finally I got bike filled up petrol with gasoline, and reached McDonald Airoli to catch up with them ( Jim and Ninad ).
After a little discussion and planning our route on our ride, we left from Airoli McDonald to reach Badlapur. Barvi dam is situated in Badlapur Maharashtra. With our Google map on Wednesday were on our way to Barvi dam.
We planned to take the Kalyan sheel road from Ghansoli. It was raining cats n dogs ( heavy rains). We had ride slow as the road wasn't visible cause of heavy rains. Imagine how heavy rains were just pouring down. Traffic too going slow as just to say to precautions so as not untoward incidents happen. Form Kalyan sheel road we took the Ambernath midc road to reach Badlapur.
From Badlapur it was a 12km ride to Barvi dam.
When we reached the dam, we searched a good spot, guided by the locals around. We parked our bikes near a small local outlet selling only some tea, water and butta ( corn roasted on a firewood ).
Here were relished the roasted corn and started a small trek to the dam. The path was a little slippery, but we some how managed to ascend down to to this beautiful mesmerizing dam. Here we said don't for a while. Just admiring the beauty all around. It was fun to get to this place I am looking at this amazing beauty, we were totally surprised.
So as we settled down we got out the snacks that we had got from home. I had made some bhurji egg bhurji while Jim had bought some tea that we had out there. So after half an hour ready to move out as we had a good time at this place enjoying the beauty and had a good food and a whole lot of conversation at this place. And so it was time to climb up this place as we had ascended earlier in this mesmerizing Jungle trek and came back to our vehicles. As I was tired to climb back up we rested for a few minutes and started the journey back to Badlapur.
But when we reached Badlapur we realised that there was more time spare for the day to end. That's where we decided to take another small ride kondeshwar Dam. Face wash just approximate 10 km away from there. So getting our Google maps ready we were on a way to kondeshwar Dam.
So when we reached kondeshwar Dam we were all amazed to see the sites and scenes at this beautiful place cause it was raining so heavy that it was another beautiful atmosphere mesmerizing place to visit. So here we took out some photos videos and a lot of riding in the mud visit to the kondeshwar temple to, which is a very spiritual place people do often visit.
And so after visiting these two places for the day it was time to return back to our homes so coming back the same route as we had gone using Google maps it was time to head home after a fruitful day so this was our right to Bavi dam which also ended up reaching to kondeshwar temple and we enjoyed a day on this trip I hope you all to visit this places.
