In the latest developments from the Israel-Gaza conflict has intensified.
On Sunday night, many Israelis took to the streets in a powerful display of grief and anger after six more hostages were found dead in Gaza. They chanted “Now! Now!” and demanded that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urgently negotiate a cease-fire with Hamas to secure the release of the remaining captives.
So why are Israelis demanding a ceasefire, and what led to this moment of heightened tension? Let me explain you in this video..

In recent days, Israel has seen a huge wave of protests, with thousands of people marching through the streets. They’re calling for an immediate ceasefire with Gaza. These demonstrations were sparked by the tragic news that six more hostages held by Hamas in Gaza were found dead. The growing outcry reflects how deeply affected and urgent the situation has become for many Israelis.

In response to the ongoing conflict, Tens of thousands of Israelis took to the streets in one of the biggest protests since the war started nearly 11 months ago. They’re frustrated with the slow progress of cease-fire talks and blame Prime Minister Netanyahu for not getting a deal done. The Israeli army has said that rescuing the remaining hostages is very challenging and that only a cease-fire agreement can lead to their large-scale return.

Hundreds of protesters blocked a highway in Tel Aviv, leading to clashes with police where fifteen people were detained and handcuffed.
The health ministry reported that the six hostages were shot at close range and are believed to have been killed on either Thursday or Friday.

While the army said the bodies of the hostages were found in a tunnel in the southern Gaza city of Rafah. This location was about a kilometer away from where another hostage was rescued alive last week.

Meanwhile according to Hindustan Times, all six hostages were killed just before Israeli forces arrived. Prime Minister Netanyahu blamed the Hamas militant group for the stalled cease-fire talks, stating that "whoever murders hostages doesn’t want a deal.
He has promised to keep fighting until Hamas is defeated. However, opinions in Israel are split, with some people supporting this stance while others are deeply divided on the issue.

On October 7, Hamas-led militants attacked southern Israel, killing around 1,200 people, mostly civilians. In response, Israel's actions in Gaza have led to over 40,000 Palestinian deaths, though the exact number of militants among them isn't specified.
The war has forced most of Gaza's 2.3 million people to leave their homes, sometimes more than once. This has caused a major humanitarian crisis in the already struggling area.
