WELCOME TO THE 14th SONG OF THE SEASON, 38 songs more to go :) This song is called "Fool's Paradise", and it's about the feeling of waiting too long, maybe forever for something to happen in your life. It sucks, because you NEVER actually know if it's worth it, if placing your trust in people you love or care about are worth it. Fear of abandonment, fear of them talking behind your back, fear of imminent betrayal, or even just a simple fear of disappointment, list goes on and on. I had this imagery standing in rain, with the rain washing away your fears as you hold your hands up, only to wake up on the shore of an island - an island with no fears, happy people. This paradise is what I see in everyone when I first meet them, only for them to let me down at some point, hence why I spend so much time in the studio. I know people can relate to this, I know it's pessimistic, but explaining human emotions purely through language is difficult.
