Cigar review -Drew Estates Undercrown Shade
When smoked: June 2023

The Drew Estates Undercrown Shade is a Connecticut wrapper spin-off of the very popular Undercrown Maduro. Blended by Willy Herrera (who is known for crafting many other highly rated cigars) the cigar features an Ecuadorian Connecticutt wrapper, with a Sumatran binder and fillers from Nicaragua and Dominican Republic.

My ratings:
Strength/boldness: 4.0/10
Quality of Smoking Experience: 9.0/10

Other notes and comments:
As mentioned in the video, I am not a big fan of Connecticut shade cigars. Very few distinguish themselves from competitors, they all tend to taste very similar. The fragile wrappers on many Connecticut shade cigars also is an annoyance for heavy-handed smokers such as myself.
All that being said, this is a good cigar - good burn, nice draw, wrapper held in there without cracking or tearing. Taste presented enough interest where I would smoke this cigar again the next time I'm in a mood for a Connecticut shade.
