From the SPER archives. Footage taken by the late Ben Parle from the Australian Electric Traction Association convention held in Sydney on 17th April 1960.
Tours of Sydney's electric traction systems - tram and train - took place during the convention, including the remaining sections of the eastern suburbs tram lines. Interurban electric train tours to Gosford, Carlingford (soon to be reborn as part of the Parramatta Light Rail) and Ropes Creek (now closed) were also in order.
