This is a series of changes made to a 1937 Evinrude Lightfour, 9.2 hp outboard motor. This motor was in a barn in three pieces; powerhead (frozen-rusted rings), lower unit (partial), propellor shaft with gear, propellor and shaft bearing housing as a unit. It was very dirty, corroded, and had some parts missing..Several months (a little at a time) were spent in cleaning, replacing damaged parts, painting and making modifications that seemed to be appropriate. Some of these changes may be usable on other engines. Thanks for watching!
