Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the signing ceremony marking the privatization of the First Women Bank under a G2G (government-to-government) agreement between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates’ International Holding Company (IHC). The Prime Minister hailed the agreement as a milestone in strengthening economic and trade relations between the two brotherly nations.

He emphasized that this landmark deal signifies the beginning of a new era of joint ventures and investment across multiple sectors, including industry, agriculture, and trade. PM Shehbaz highlighted that state-owned enterprises that are not performing effectively will be restructured, ensuring the private sector leads future growth.

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Sheikh Zaid bin Hamdan bin Zaid Al Nahyan, reflecting strong bilateral ties. The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating business and attracting foreign direct investment, describing the agreement as “the first drop of rain” in a journey toward prosperity and progress.
