Although participants in HtmlQ's online Q sort enter comments about their most salient statement selections and provide some demographic information, the researcher must retrieve this information from the JSON file that is created within HtmlQ. This is the same file that is uploaded into KenQ but the analyses do not include these comments or demographic information. The researcher must retrieve this information instead. Retrieving the comments is relatively easy but the researcher must connect the demographic information codes with how the config.xlm file was setup initially. I demonstrate here how I retrieve this information and set it up in MS Excel spreadsheets (although one could simply have two different tabs or even one tab / worksheet in a single MS Excel spreadsheet).
