Proper underwater strobe positioning is essential for lighting your subject, creating depth through shadows and minimizing backscatter. This tutorial focuses on the best strobe positions for divers shooting macro and wide-angle photos, as well as divers with a single strobe or dual strobe setup.

In this video tutorial, I demonstrate using an arm and clamp system to hold your strobes or lights, and even review an underwater strobe position rarely used by new shooters: portrait orientation.

I use many of the underwater strobe positioning graphics in this presentation during photo workshop presentations, so you can think of this video as a personal one-on-one workshop.
