Riding behind a Steam Locomotive on the Durango and Silverton

Описание к видео Riding behind a Steam Locomotive on the Durango and Silverton

Let's take a relaxing ride on the Durango and Silverton Railroad behind one of their beautiful K36 steam locomotives which have been converted to burn oil. We are riding as far as Cascade Canyon through the spectacular Animas Canyon.

After touring the shops and checking out their conversion to oil on many of their coal-burning steam locomotives we took the daily passenger train to Cascade. Two trains also ran today to Silverton, one was also a converted steam locomotive but the second was pulled by the new diesel locomotives bought from the White Pass and Yukon Railroad.
