Those arrested are writer-poet P Varavara Rao, lawyers Sudha Bhardwaj, Arun Farreira and Vernon Gonzalves, and Gautam Navalakha. Police said that they funded Elgar Parishad conclave on December 31 last year, when inflammatory speeches were made. Violence had erupted the following day at Bhima Koregaon during a commemorative event the next day.
