Pickle plays a very important part in Indian cuisine and as a tasty accompaniment capable of weathering long journeys.
Gor keri is a traditional pickle from Gujarati. It is sweet mango pickle made with raw mango, jaggery, oil and flavored with pickle masala. This pickle made with the process of sundried and shelf life is more than a year.
As the name suggests, this recipe is a quicker version of the traditional gujarati pickle.
It goes well along with theplas, bhakaris, and khakhras.
INGREDIENTS
1 kg  raw mangoes
1 tbsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp salt
2 cup jaggery
1 cup Pickle Masala( Readymade)
1 cup Peanut Oil
INSTRUCTIONS--
Wash the mangoes and then cut them into medium-sized pieces.
Combine the mango pieces with salt and turmeric powder and leave aside half hour.
Then sieve water from mango pieces and dry them.
In a large vessel, take cut mango picies add grated jaggery, pickle masala.
Add oil. Mix well.
Store the gor keri pickle in clean sterilized glass jars. Serve with theplas, bhakris and khakras.
