As in most things technology in dentistry has come a long ways in the last several years for sure. The advent of CAD/CAM technology and CTs in the office allows us to visually plan an entire mouth, one tooth or every tooth in your mouth digitally. By putting the investment in in that technology allows me to provide the best services possible, and without that technology it's a little bit like working in the dark. I can get there but I don't know if I get the right position every time.

When I have a case of eight implants and they go in perfectly and I don't have to touch them at all, or one crown that goes in perfectly and I don't have to adjust at all it's a success. Before things were done digitally that didn't always happen. Human error is great and there are a lot of steps in dentistry with making a tooth or one tooth or a whole, and in each little step if one aspect is done 1% incorrectly then that amplifies on each step afterwards. Being able to utilize digital technology allows us to provide the most efficient and successful treatments that we can.
