I have been looking for a new pair of skis to add to the quiver and by recommendation from the techs at Pepi's in Vail I bought a pair of Elan Wingman 86 CTI skis.

My go to pair of skis was a K2 model, Mind Bender. The Mind Benders were a great all around the mountain ski, but I was having trouble getting a good edge set on the "race snow" found on the east side of Copper Mountain in the speed section.

The Wingman skis solved that problem for me. I find them very easy to get on and hold an edge with a lot less work. I think I have a new favorite hard pack ski.

This video is the first run with the Wingman skis on the High Point and Carefree runs off the American Flyer Chairlift at Copper Mountain. Nice cruisers for a long groomer.
