Mumtaz recently interacted with us and revealed many things one such thing was her and Shammi Kapoor's love. When a young Mumtaz and her sister Malika saw Shammi Kapoor filming a song, Mumtaz instantly expressed her desire to marry him. Years later, Shammi proposed to her. Despite their deep love, Mumtaz, who was young and ambitious, declined because Kapoor women weren't allowed to work after marriage. Mumtaz shared that they were in love for two to three years but parted ways due to her career ambitions.
