台中高美濕地是一個適合騎腳踏車探險的絕佳地點。建議可以到台中高鐵站後租機車或是開車前往 因為高美濕地比較靠海 等大眾運輸要花比較久的時間 西部濱海是很適合來一小段Road trip的地方（太長一段我會想睡覺哈哈 所以我喜歡騎車）

給外國旅客的貼心提醒，在抵達桃園機場後購買「悠遊卡」！可以在桃園國際機場（TPE）第一及第二航廈的電子票證聯合服務櫃檯購買並加值，或是在捷運站、便利商店也可以輕鬆買到。悠遊卡不僅可以租借 YouBike，還能享有其他公共交通工具的轉乘優惠。

我們這趟旅程甚至租到了電動輔助腳踏車，費用貴了一點點但是逆著風追逐夕陽也變得輕鬆自在。建議朝遊客較少的方向騎行——記得過橋，那邊通常人比較少。沿途還能看到巨大的風力發電風扇在轉動，讓人感受到一種放逐的感覺。

如果偏好使用手機操作，外國朋友也可以下載「YouBike 2.0」App，選擇「單次租車」選項，並綁定信用卡進行扣款。請注意，YouBike 2.0 的車輛必須歸還至專屬的 2.0 停車站，無法與 YouBike 1.0 互相歸還。

至於租賃費用，將根據借車時所在縣市的費率進行計算。交易明細可在當月的信用卡帳單中查閱。請注意，信用卡租車授權會先預扣新台幣 3,000 元，授權期限為 120 小時。確認車輛歸還無誤後，只會扣除實際使用費用，多餘的金額將退還至信用卡中。

Taichung Gaomei Wetlands is an ideal destination for cycling adventures. It’s recommended to rent a scooter or drive from the Taichung High-Speed Rail Station, as Gaomei Wetlands is located closer to the coast, making public transportation options take longer. The coastal areas of western Taiwan are perfect for a short road trip (personally, I prefer shorter rides; otherwise, I get sleepy, so I enjoy riding bikes!).

For foreign travelers, here’s a helpful tip: purchase an “EasyCard” upon arriving at Taoyuan Airport! You can buy and top up the EasyCard at the Joint Service Counters in Terminals 1 and 2 of Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) or conveniently at metro stations and convenience stores. The EasyCard not only allows you to rent YouBikes but also offers discounts on transfers to other forms of public transportation.

During our journey, we even managed to rent an electric-assist bike. Although it was slightly more expensive, it made cycling against the wind toward the sunset a breeze. For a more enjoyable experience, head toward areas with fewer tourists—remember to cross the bridge, as it’s usually less crowded on the other side. Along the way, you’ll encounter massive wind turbines spinning, giving off a liberating vibe.

If you prefer using your phone, you can also download the “YouBike 2.0” app. Simply choose the “One-Time Rental” option and link your credit card for payment. Note that YouBike 2.0 bikes must be returned to designated 2.0 stations and cannot be mixed with YouBike 1.0 stations.

As for the rental fees, they are calculated based on the rates of the city or county where the bike is rented. The transaction details will appear on your credit card statement. Please be aware that a pre-authorization fee of NT$3,000 will be held on your credit card for up to 120 hours. After confirming the bike’s return, only the actual rental cost will be charged, and the remaining amount will be refunded to your card.
