In December 2023, renowned Tabla player Pt. Sadanand Naimpalli, graced the stage at ‘Anandotsav’, organised by Aamad Pratishthan in association with Rithwik Foundation for Performing Arts, in Mumbai. This program is being premiered as a special edition e- Swaranubhuti on RFPA’s digital Platforms.

About the Artists:
Born in a family of music-lovers, Pt. Sadanand Naimpalli was motivated to take up Tabla. Sadanandji blossomed into an accomplished Tabla player and was rightly hailed as a "Child Prodigy." Sadanand Naimpalli was taught by Pt. Taranath Rao as a child . As the winner of an All India Radio competition in 1963, at the age of sixteen, he was awarded the President's Award . As the best young tabla player at the Inter University Youth Festival, he was selected by the Indian government and UNESCO for a European tour the following year. He then undertook several tours of the USA, Europe and the Middle East. In 1968, he recorded two albums with his teacher on the Country & Eastern label . He studied metallurgy and founded an engineering company for non-ferrous metal castings, which he ran for almost twenty years. He then returned to music and established himself as a sought-after tabla soloist on All India Radio and on state television Doordarshan . He has performed as an accompanist for India's most renowned musicians and regularly participated in important music conferences in India. In 2017 he recorded the album Maha Taal Yaag , a compendium of tabla solos in which he performed ten different talas . In 2020 two albums were released with recordings of concerts with Mohi Bahauddin Dagar . He is also the author of the textbooks-Theory and Practice of Tabla , Tabla for Advanced Students & Tabla - Gaths, Parans, Chakkardars in English and Hindi.
