Major Lake Effect Snowstorm-Buffalo Southtowns-Travel Disruptions-Plows/Trucks/Cars in Ditches

An intense band of lake effect snow setup across the Buffalo southtowns from December 12-13th dropping over 40" of snow across the hardest hit locations. Travel bans were put into place across the southtowns on Thursday the 12th. High winds created blizzard conditions at times. Snowfall rates of 6" per hour in the hardest hit locations with 12" received in just 2 hours in Eden, NY.
