Amanda Brotzman is such a good character. I think the way her disease was shown was very relatable for lots of people with mental illness, or at last to me. How it may be invisible for others, but is very real for me, and feels very real for me. AND she also conquers it and, while it still sucks, learns that she doesn't have to be controlled by it, rather, she can control it. She can do the stuff she wants to because the disease will be in her no matter what anyway, and finds something to take the pain away (Rowdy 3=friends, family), and also gains power from it.
