Van Hool Evolution (1947 - 2021)

Van Hool is a Belgian family-owned coachbuilder and manufacturer of buses, coaches, trolleybuses, and trailers.

Most of the buses and coaches are built entirely by Van Hool, with engines and axles sourced from Caterpillar, Cummins, DAF and MAN and gearboxes from ZF or Voith. Some production involves building bus and coach bodies on separate bus chassis from manufacturers such as Volvo and Scania.

Today, Van Hool of Belgium manufactures approximately 1,400 buses and coaches, and as many as 3,000 commercial vehicles annually of which 80 % are exported worldwide. With a workforce of over 4,500, Van Hool is a major bus manufacturer in Europe.
