Alex Denton, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow with the Wu Tsai Human Performance Alliance at the University of Oregon. In her presentation, Dr. Denton shares her research exploring how to optimize traction in soccer cleats for female-specific mechanics. Her team has worked with Puma to design a custom soccer cleat for female athletes, with the intent of reducing knee loading and ACL injury.

This presentation is part of the session "Preventing ACL Injuries: New Technology for a Persistent Challenge", presented at the inaugural Female Athlete Research Meeting held on November 5, 2025 at Stanford University.
