The Voice of Admiral Ackbar (His final interview)

It's not a trap! I spoke to Erik Bauersfeld who voiced both Admiral Ackbar and Bib Fortuna in the original Star Wars trilogy, he also returned to voice Ackbar again in The Force Awakens before passing away at the age of 93 in April 2016. This was his final interview.

During the interview Erik had fun with his iconic IT'S A TRAP line by performing it in different styles. Including a sad, happy, sultry and even a Shakespearian rendition of "It's a Trap"!

Star Wars was a happy accident for Erik and he recorded his lines too late to be credited in The Return of The Jedi, so it wasn't until his latter years in life when fans figured out that he was the voice behind the iconic "IT'S A TRAP!" line, and convention appearances all over the world soon followed.

He returned to voice Ackbar again in Episode 7: The Force Awakens in 2015.
