I recently acquired AlpenGlobal's new static line and have been using it for a few months now for tree work as one of my main lifelines when climbing. I find that it works great ascending the tree as a second lanyard and transitions to both MRS and SRT very well. I use a Notch Flow Rope Wrench with a Rope Logic Shorty Fixed tether. My prusik cords vary, and the rope responds well to them all. In this video, I'm using the Teufelberger HRC Therma-Shield Prusik Cord but I also use the 8mm Ocean Polyester Hitch Cord.
