US$60,000 Classical Guitar! | Expensive Guitars | NBN Guitar

Whilst on a trip to Hong Kong (late 2016) to purchase a new BAM l'original hard case for my Takamine I decided to try out a few guitars while I was there. While I was waiting for the case I tried out a few of the most expensive guitars I've ever played. The absolute pick of the bunch was this rare beauty!

Luthier: Matthias Dammann
Year: 1995
Price: HKD380,000

As some of you may know 1995 was a pivotal year for Matthias Dammann. It is the year that Dammann was able to finalise and bring to life the Double top with a Nomex core. This design is considered to be a huge turning point in classical guitar soundboard design and was later emulated by the German luthier Gernot Wagner.
