Kinloch Plantation Memories

Описание к видео Kinloch Plantation Memories

Beginning in 1912, members of the duPont family purchased 13 former plantations to create a vast winter retreat called Kinloch Plantation. The family and their famous guests visited often, hunting and relaxing, and capturing wonderful moments on 8mm film. Richard Stanland Jr. grew up on this idyllic patch, son of plantation manager Richard Stanland Sr., who worked and lived there for 40 years. These are his reminiscences of his conservation-minded father, the duPont family, the 75+ African Americans who lived and worked there, and a world apart from the everyday bustle.
