Kleinbahn (small railway) was/is a German toymaker owned by 2 brothers who fell out and split the company in half. From what I have read, the locos produced were considered poor quality compared to Marklin, Flieschmann etc. Much like Playcraft compared to Hornby etc. This model has two 3 pole motors with worm drives, metal chassis with brass gears. The engine covers are cast while the cabin is plastic. I bought this one years ago for about Aus $40, which is cheap as. I have replaced the directional lighting with teensy weensy LEDs. Runs like a bulldozer.
