Relics of Winter War: A Metal Detecting Journey in Suomussalmi

The Suomussalmi battle, was a major engagement between the Finnish Army and the Soviet Union during the Winter War of 1939-1940. This battle holds a special place in Finnish history and I am honored to be able to search for relics from this important time.

With the Minelab Equinox 800, I am able to detect even the smallest items buried in the ground. As I explore the battlefields, I'll be on the lookout for artifacts such as bullets, buttons, and other military equipment used during the Winter War.
