I'm about halfway through upgrading my originally full Shimano 105 drive train into a full Ultegra drivetrain. First was putting on an Ultegra cassette, then it was replacing a long cage 105 derailleur with a short cage (medium cage?) Ultegra rear derailleur, and now it was time for the crankset. This obviously answers the question of whether or not I personally think it's worth dropping the dough on some new Ultegra kit. I can notice a difference especially having spent a good amount of time on both in the past year, and also riding them back to back makes the differences much more noticeable.
