Alesha and Mrs. Bullet visit the Nylon pool and No mans land in Tobago -

The Nylon Pool is an in-sea shallow white ground coral pool that is located off Pigeon Point, Tobago, and is accessible by boat. Its name is derived from its resemblance to a swimming pool. It is close to the Buccoo Reef, a protected area full of coral reefs. It was named by Princess Margaret in 1962. It is also one of Trinidad and Tobago's most visited attractions.

Nylon Pool sits east of Buccoo Reef and west of Buffo Bay. It is also north of Bon Accord Lagoon, meaning visitors can get the Caribbean Ocean on one side and the palm-splashed lagoon on the other. In order to reach Nylon Pool, visitors will have to take a boat tour.

Boats dock out of Pigeon Point and Store Bay, both short distances from Restorations Tobago. Once on a boat, these Tobago tours will take you to a variety of places including Buccoo Reef and the Coral Gardens. These boat tours last several hours so prepare accordingly.

Nylon Pool got its name when Britain's Princess Margaret visited the area on her honeymoon in 1962. She likened the pool to the transparency of Nylon. Locals claim these turquoise waters carry rejuvenating powers to those who swim in them. Locals also claim young couples who kiss in Nylon Pool will have long-lasting love, making it one of the more romantic things to do in Tobago. Regardless of the validity of the supernatural powers, Nylon Pools does offer a great place to relax and rejuvenate. The sand on the meter-deep seabed is coral sand and it is definitely a refreshing outing.
