Lorenzo House, 4 Gosport Street, Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, SA33 4SY

Introduction

Four bedrooms and four bathrooms and the most incredible location with stunning views across the Estuary and of the Castle.

Summary

Lorenzo House sits within the heart of Laugharne and from the front appears a very ordinary house, however from the rear and from inside it is a very different story. Extensively remodelled by our clients Lorenzo House now boasts four bedrooms, each with its own en-suite, a house of ‘fours’ it even has four reception rooms on the ground floor, sitting room, drawing room, study and an impressive garden room that is open to the kitchen. The views from the kitchen and garden room are quite simply breathe taking and it is no wonder that these rooms are very much the hub of the house.

Measuring around 2,350 sq ft Lorenzo House is a great sized home, but in addition to this space there is a really generously proportioned garage, something that is quite a rarity in Laugharne. At around 624 sq ft the garage is large enough for kayaks, paddle boards, tools and a car or maybe your boat, and for a house so close to the water you will want lots of storage of all your new toys.

Outside

The garden at Lorenzo House has been professionally designed to blend with and compliment the amazing location it finds itself in, with plenty of seating areas to allow you to enjoy the incredible views day and night, being walled it is a very private space and also well sheltered from any inclement weather.

Location

‘This timeless, beautiful, barmy town, a legendary lazy little black magical bedlam by the sea’ – Dylan Thomas

Dylan Thomas wrote some of his most famous work while in Laugharne and made it is home with his wife Caitlin. Visitors still enjoy a sneak peek back in time through the window of his Writing Shed, perched on the edge of the cliffs overlooking the estuary. For us we cannot think of a better way to describe Laugharne, visitors often describe a magical feel when they visit with an instant sense of relaxation. It is still a thriving village with choice of pubs, restaurants and cafes as well as interesting shops. Full of grand Georgian architecture it is a pretty village to wonder through, but for most people the views across the estuary and of the castle are what make this place truly special.
