Nick Candy has announced his resignation from the Conservative Party and will join Reform UK as Party Treasurer in the new year.

Nick Candy, the billionaire former Tory donor and Holly Valance’s husband, is to become Reform UK’s treasurer, the party has announced.

The property tycoon, 51, accused the Conservative Party of a “complete breach of trust with the wealth creators in our country” and said he would take up the fundraising role in the new year.

Valance, 41, the Australian-British pop star and actress, is also a prominent Reform backer and has been seen at many of the party’s events. She was pictured with Candy, the party leader Nigel Farage and Donald Trump at the president-elect’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida in 2022.
