Qantas First Class - Sydney to Singapore (QF 1) - Airbus A380-800

In this video, we have a look at a Qantas First Class flight from Sydney to Singapore on board an Airbus A380-800.

QF 1 is Qantas’s flagship route and operates from Sydney to Singapore, then to London after a short stopover. First Class guests on this route are offered a complimentary chauffeur drive service to the airport. Upon arrival at Sydney airport, I ensure a First Host is organised to greet me and escort me all the way to the private First Class check-in area at terminal 1.

After check-in is complete, I use the priority immigration/security path then head to the flagship Sydney Qantas First Lounge. I’ve reviewed the lounge in some detail before, but I review it again in this video. I take a look at the layout and ambiance of the lounge, as well as the dining options, business facilities, and the signature spa.

Once I board the A380, I take a look at the First Class product which is still very good after being rolled out a decade ago. I review the hard product in immense detail during the flight – this includes the seat positions, IFE system, massage function, storage, lighting, ventilation, etc.

During the 8 hours flight, I’m served two meals – a dinner is served shortly after take-off, and a light refreshment is served just prior to landing. The First Class menu is designed by Australian chef, Neil Perry, and the food/drinks are served on elegant tableware designed by David Caon.

On this evening flight, Martin Grant pyjamas and amenity kits are provided as well.

The transit time in Singapore is around a couple of hours. This leaves me enough time to check out the Qantas Singapore Lounge before boarding the onward flight to London. Stay tuned for that entertaining review!
