AustralianSuper, one of Australia's largest superannuation funds, has made significant changes to its private markets team by eliminating several executive roles, including the head of mid-risk portfolio strategy and research, Jessica Melville. This move comes amid speculation that the $387 billion fund is transitioning away from internally managed direct investments in infrastructure, property, and private credit. The restructuring follows the recent departure of mid-risk chief Jason Peasley, whose role was also made redundant.

Before her tenure at AustralianSuper, Melville held strategic advisory roles at WTW and worked as an investment analyst at Pengana Capital.
