"One day we will have to stand before God, the great Judge, and make a case for ourselves. The terrifying reality is that God is good, but we are not. Our good works are like dirty rags before a perfect, holy God and we have all sinned against him-- we all fall short of God's glory and standard (Isaiah 64:6, Romans 3:23). But the good news of the gospel is this: that the penalty of our sins was unfairly and completely paid for by the Judge himself (Romans 3:26). This Judge commanded everyone everywhere to acknowledge their sin and reject it. Now whoever declares Jesus as their Lord and believes that God raised him from the dead can be saved (Romans 10:9).

This piece is an attempt to bring attention to this truth, in hopes that those who consider Jesus Christ to be their Lord would be led to worship God and those who don't know Jesus would see and accept the immense grace of God.

There He is -- my ever gracious Jesus, the everlasting and righteous I AM, the rightful owner of all glory and the source of all grace. I have been united with Him, so I cannot die. That Jesus… HIS blood has been spilled for my soul. Humbly, I'll hide in Him from the righteous wrath of God. Jesus, my God, has saved me."
