*Braai Pap Recipe:*

*Ingredients:*
- 2 cups maize meal
- 2 cups water
- 1.7 liters water (for boiling)
- 100g butter or margarine
- 125ml fresh whipping cream
- 2-3 Maize meal (to stiffen)
- Freshly chopped parsley

*Instructions:*

1. In a bowl, combine 2 cups of maize meal with 2 cups of water. Mix until well combined. Set aside.

2. Bring 1.7 liters of water to a boil in a large pot.

3. Once the water is boiling, gradually add the maize paste to the pot while stirring continuously with a whisk until thick and smooth.

4. Cover the pot and simmer the maize mixture over medium-high heat for 10 minutes.

5. After 10 minutes, stir in the butter or margarine until melted and smooth.

6. Add the fresh whipping cream and continue to stir until smooth.

7. Gradually add 2 to 3 cups of maize meal to the mixture, one cup at a time, stirring well between additions until you reach your desired consistency. If you prefer a stiffer and crumblier texture, stop at 2 cups.

8. Once the maize meal is mixed in, cover the pot and cook over medium-low heat for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

9. After the cooking time, stir in the freshly chopped parsley.

10. Switch off the stove and cover the pot, allowing the pap to finish cooking with the residual heat.

11. Serve the braai pap with cabbage stew, braai meat, and Chakalaka for a delicious meal.

Enjoy your braai pap!
