Приобретал в основном для интерьерной съемки. Это сверх широкоугольный объектив с надёжным стабилизатором и быстрым AF-P мотором. Материал корпуса - пластик. Байонет также сделан из пластика, поэтому его нужно снимать и надевать аккуратно. При фокусировке передняя линза не вращается, что даёт возможность использовать поляризационные и градиентные фильтры. В объективе используется новый AF-P мотор, который быстрее и тише предыдущих AF-S моторов. Но так как AF-P новая технология, она будет работать только на камерах, выпущенных после 2013 года. На старых камерах (например, Nikon D7000) не работает даже ручной фокус. Зато на новых камерах всё работает исключительно: AF-P фокусируется точно, почти мгновенно и бесшумно. Как и любой широкоугольный объектив, он обладает выраженной дисторсией. Прямые линии превращаются в кривые. Полки в кадре значительно изгибаются из-за бочкообразной дисторсии. Поэтому нужно пользоваться исправлением искажений в Adobe Lightroom или Camera RAW.
