Installing AEW Exhaust On Royal Enfield Interceptor 650: Indian Vance And Hines?

Описание к видео Installing AEW Exhaust On Royal Enfield Interceptor 650: Indian Vance And Hines?

The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is a lovely modern retro that pays homage to the bikes from nearly half a century ago. Elegant lines, no unnecessary panels, and a simple, clean design. But there is one flaw: the massive exhaust pipes it comes with.

They just rob the motorcycle of its looks, and seem disproportionate from the rest of the bike. Now, I understand that they are this big due to BS4 restrictions and Royal Enfield can't really do anything about it.

This is where aftermarket options kick in.

An Indian manufacturer, AEW (based out of Pune), has come up with a very sleek looking exhaust for this bike in stainless steel finish that looks like it was designed by Vance and Hines for a Triumph modern retro.

My reason for going in with this exhaust was simple: I just wanted nicer looking pipes. Not loud pipes, just nicer looking.

And the AEWs do that and a lot more.

With the baffle installed, they sound slightly louder than the stock pipes. For people who want to tour or not draw any uncalled for attention, this is a perfect set of pipes, I would say.

And if you want a louder set up, well, just take the baffles out and let it roar.

They cost Rs 15,500, which is extremely reasonable if you ask me.

And they weigh just 1.9 kg per exhaust can. That is a weight reduction of 6 kg from the stock pipes.

This is a video just about the unboxing and the installation of the AEW pipes. I plan to another video on its performance, fuel economy changes, pros and cons and flyby so that you get a complete picture and can decide whether to go for it or not.

If you would like to buy them, you can approach AEW here: http://www.torquexhausts.com/
