Recently reclaiming the National Flag of Uganda as a flag for all Ugandans, NUP has managed to mobilize over 56 tribes in a Protest Vote to unseat authoritarian General Museveni in a "free and fair" election, as the critical step toward transitioning from dictatorship to democracy. Needless to say, it takes a thoughtful and open-hearted leader to unite the many tribes across Uganda under one flag. And the transition from authoritarian rule to civilian rule has already proven to be an undertaking of great sacrifice.

The most consequential election taking place in Africa at this hour is the upcoming 2026 elections in Uganda. General Museveni’s 40 year long dictatorship is on the brink of collapse, and singer songwriter turned nonviolent freedom fighter, Bobi Wine, stands to be Uganda’s first democratically elected president…so long as Museveni doesn’t have him killed!

Bobi Wine (aka Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu) has inspired the majority of Ugandans to liberate themselves from Musevenism, which is a dynastic dictatorship dressed up as a hollow constitutional republic. Through nonviolent political revolution, Bobi Wine's party the National Unity Platform offers a new democratic Uganda based on a politics of dignity, truth and reconciliation.
