Описание к видео I install a new low profile Gigabyte RTX 4060 video card in my HTPC.

Last year or so I upgraded the HTPC to a GTX 1650, from a GT 1030. Now that the RTX 4060 comes in low profile from Gigabyte, I decided to do a upgrade.

This isn't a how to video. It is just me installing this card in my system for home theater usage and light TV gaming... I know it isn't the greatest but everything in the computer industry is out of date in only months. The intention is a budget system in a apartment so if it's stolen or just thrown out the window I didn't spend much.

The Gigiabyte RTX 4060 low profile card is PCIe 8x with 8GB of video RAM. It requires a 8 pin connector that may need a adapter of you are using a low profile or flex PSU. My Silverstone PSU has a 6 pin PCIe connector that still needed a adapter to the 8 pin connector.

Maybe other companies will come out with something better with this same low profile form factor but so far this is it. The GTX1650 it replaced is still ok for games I play but not so much for newer content.

The motherboard here is a ASUS A320M-A micro atx AM4 socket (got second hand cheap)
CPU is just a AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (got second hand cheap)
16GB of cheap Micron RAM
1TB Western Digital Blue SSD SATA drive.
300W Silverstone TFX? or flex PSU (or low profile)
Inwin BL040 low profile case.
In the 5.25 bay is a SD card reader that I use for the old Gopro and how I install Ubuntu 22.04
.
