Price Forecast of Polypropylene (PP) CFR Far East Asia

As the viewer can see, our PP CFR Far East Asia forecast prices for Week 1 of December, done with the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, had predicted a fairly accurate steep price fall trend in the case of Injection/Raffia, Film and BOPP.

The forecasted prices for all the grades, except Block Copolymer, fell within the actual price range assessed by our editorial team today, on Wednesday. Prices for Block Copolymer grade, however, fell short of the final assessed price by USD 20/mt.

1. Our forecasted values for PP Injection/Raffia were USD 990-1030/mt, while the actual price were USD 1010/mt.
2. ‏Forecasted values for PP Film were USD 1030-1070/mt, while the actual price were USD 1035/mt.
3. Polymerupdate forecasted the values of BOPP in the range of USD 1030-1070/mt, while the actual price were USD 1030/mt
4. Forecasted values for PP Block Copolymer were USD 1070-1110/mt, while the actual prices were assessed at USD 1050/mt.

The price difference in Block Copolymer grade was attributed to persistent bearish buying sentiments in key markets like China. Several traders in the region, who were keen to liquidate their stocks, were heard nervous about the poor buying trends and willingly came forward with sharply reduced offer rates in an effort to keep the purchase momentum ticking.
